EVENT DETAILS
The evening will begin at 5:00, with the celebration of Mass at 5:15, followed by the meeting at 6:00, and then dinner. After dinner, we will hear from our guest speaker, Greg Gitschier.
Any new members who would like to learn more about Queen’s Daughters and the volunteer opportunities available are invited to join our board members at 4:30 before the General Meeting for a brief overview.
The buffet menu consists of house salad with ranch or raspberry vinaigrette dressing, fried fish, chicken parmesan, buttered house pasta with parmesan cheese, vegetable medley, rolls, cookies, brownies, and coffee. A cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
MEET DEACON GREG GITSCHIER
Greg Gitschier, a Louisville native, has been a police officer, US Secret Service agent, bodyguard, and security consultant. He was assigned fulltime to protect President Ronald Reagan and his family, as well as five other U.S. presidents and numerous heads of state. Gitschier is the author of the award-winning book Sneakin Deacon, which he dedicated to his favorite charity, Kids Cancer Alliance. He was ordained a Catholic deacon in 2010 and currently serves two parishes. Deacon Gitschier is a police chaplain for five agencies, the chaplain for St. Mary’s Center, and also a chaplain for the Knights of Columbus and the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He lives in Louisville with his wife, daughter, and two sons.
