SERVICE
The Queen’s Daughters’ focus is to take care of our Blessed Mother’s children here on earth. Annually, we donate monetarily and through service to several local charities and schools.
QUEEN’S DAUGHTERS FOCUS PROGRAMS
CATHOLIC CHARITIES’ SISTER VISITOR CENTER
The Sister Visitor Center provides emergency food and financial assistance to individuals and families living West of 9th Street and North of Broadway in Louisville, KY. Queen’s Daughters members have supported this program since early 2026 with a robust volunteer program and yearly food collection at a membership meeting. We also pledge financial contributions through our Fall Fun Fest and Fashion Show and Luncheon fundraising events.
GOLDEN ARROW CENTER FOR MOTHERS AND CHILDREN
The Golden Arrow Center for Mothers and Children is a non-profit agency that provides assistance to mothers, mothers-to-be and their children. Established in 1997 as an outreach ministry of St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, the center works in conjunction with the Schuhmann Center. In addition to a financial contribution, members bring baby food, formula, diapers and toiletries to our yearly baby shower and volunteer to collect and sort clothing to support the program.
Baby items collected at our 2025 General Meeting and Christmas Luncheon to support the Golden Arrow Center for Mothers and Children.
Little Sisters Of The Poor
The Little Sisters of the Poor offers the neediest elderly of every race and religion a home where they will be welcomed as Christ, cared for as family and accompanied with dignity until God calls them to himself. A few of the volunteer opportunities include serving meals, helping with special activities and transporting older sisters to doctor's appointments.
NATIVITY ACADEMY
Nativity Academy at Saint Boniface is an independent Catholic middle school that educates Louisville’s urban youth. Every year, The Queen’s Daughters sponsors one child through her years at the academy through our Student Sponsorship program. This program is vital to Nativity Academy’s ability to provide quality education and the opportunity for these students to move on to achieve their goals and aspirations.

SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Queen's Daughters Scholarship Program provides financial assistance to students who wish to attend a local Catholic high school. A committee of members reviews applications and selects recipients based on financial need, academic record, leadership skills, and community service.
Support for local Catholic students through this scholarship fund began in the 1987-88 school year. Our current commitment is $48,000 for four students for their four years of Catholic high school education. This program is funded by profits from our yearly Fashion Show and Luncheon.
The Queen's Daughters Scholarship Program recipients receive their award at our 2026 Mary’s Day.
ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Endowed Scholarship Program began in 2023 with two $27,000 awards to Sacred Heart Academy and Presentation Academy. Assumption High School was added in 2024 with a $27,000 award. The current students are:
Fund Balances (as of July 2025):
Sacred Heart Academy - $45,495
Presentation Academy – $25,000
Assumption High School - $28,810
These values will continue to grow with earned interest and other donations. The Queen’s Daughters will supplement the earned interest to award a full $2,000 scholarship to each student yearly until each endowment reaches about $50,000 which should then fund the entire amount of the scholarships. These young ladies will make a real difference in the world as they learn and grow.
